Pictures in i cloud, where is stands

Im just trying to mostly figure out what iCloud picture storage can do.


i have read a lot of information on it and seem to still not understand it fully.

As of now i have the ability to do the following,


Store photo's in iphoto
Option to make shared albums
Photo's use my iCloud storage space
Photo's in iphoto albums do not update shared albums(deleting)


So my question is this ,

i want to store all my pictures (60GB) in i cloud and not have them stored on any device (just in low resolution) and than access them live with wifi/data.

this apparently will be possible in early 2015 ?

I think it all starts on Monday 10/20/2014. You will need to be on iOS 8.1 and then use beta.cloud.com/#iphotos on the computer. In 2015 we will ALSO get a new Photo App for the Mac.
