I hate the way the picture folder works on my pad/phone. I go on vacation take 500 pictures. Get home and I download them to my pc. Then I create album called Vacation2018 and put the 500 in there. Then using iTunes I sync them with my pad/phone. Now I have a folder on my device called vacation2018. So I then delete all the vacation pictures out of the camera roll and photo Stream and I have 2 clean folders to take everyday pictures and be able to find them because the 500 are now in their own folder. I know I can create on my devices a vacation folder and put those 500 pictures in it BUT they still are in the camera roll/photo stream folder too. I’m thinking of a iMac in the near future as my pc is 7 years old. Can I transfer those 500 pictures to the iMac and put them in a vacation folder then using iTunes put them back on my devices like I do now with the pc?
Thank you for your help.

No one can help answer this simple question?
Yes, you can. I don't have a lot of experience with this particular topic, but its pretty simple to group photos in the default macOS photos app. It should even automatically group them based on the event and timing of those photos.

For example: my phone auto grouped many of the photos taken of me and my family members during a recent football game, and photos (the mac app) follows suit.

You could then choose to sync those photos to various iOS devices and so on. You could group them by folders if you wished, but you don't have to.

Not sure why you didn't get a response earlier.

Yes. You can.

Thanks for your help. I just don’t understand why the iPad/iPhone won’t work this way.
