Since this thread is starting to get a little off topic ever since I mentioned "pie".
I'm starting this thread.
Lets get started.

"Pie" is a wonderful word.

It just rolls off the tongue.

People like cake and cookies, too.
But the word pie really gets peoples attention.

The word pie just seems to be hard wired into our brains.
Makes sense. We've had pie since 2000 B.C.!
Why I bet cavemen even had pie.
Mr. Ugg: Uhh. What eat?
Mrs. Ugg: Uhh. Saber pot pie.
Mr. Ugg: Hmm... Ugg eat whole pie in one bite, oh boy!

Pies are even used as means of competition, strength and endurance.
You know what I mean if you've ever seen/participated in a pie eating contest.

Pies are even used in the business world.
Trying to give a presentation but everyone keeps falling asleep?
Loss the boring line graphs and use something that will have them rapt at attention and begging for more.
The pie chart. Helping businesses since 2000 B.C.

Now lets get to the good stuff.

I love pie.
It's so versatile too.
You have you meat pies, fruit pies, vegetable pies and mineral pies.
The possibilities are endless!
Pie can be a dinner, dessert, or if it's a cream-pie, a weapon of mass yummness.

My favorite pie is frozen mint chocolate pie.
Followed closely by warm apple pie with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream.

this reminds me:
how do y'all feel about cheese and apples mixed together? I always hear about apple pie with cheddar in the crust, and it just kinda grosses me out.

Back in those craaazzy rebellious secondary school days I went on a huge walk with a mate. went all over the hills we did. he told me to have an Apple and Cheese when I got home, which is a bowl full of cheddar blocks and sliced apples. Preferably eaten with a cocktail stick. Very nice too!

I love meat and potato pies from Haines (local bakers, if anyone finds themselves in Saddleworth then it's inbetween the butchers and the post office). Absolutely the best pies I've ever had. and here I am stuck inside

I would much rather have a pie in the face than a cake. Although I'm probably more likely to get a concussion, there's just something about having fruit preserves smushed in your face that whipped cream can't replicate.

When I worked at McDonald's, I put my bare hands into the fryer running at 350 degrees F from time to time to retrieve something without being fried.

However, I've had trouble with pizza ovens and I often forget that, even though the natural gas is off, the burner trivet is still hot when I go to clean it.

I thought the same thing when I saw this, last night. A classic less is more.
