i bought my phone off some douche bag and figured out that the volume button was broken, the back was all scratched and dented.

anyways i oredered a new back, then figured out that the problem with the volume button was not with the casing's volume button but rather the part inside. So i ordered that and waited another week and a half. SO now that i got this part not only is it SOOO HARD to put the screws in it, i figure out that i had to keep a part of the ringer button. Now i cant screw in my ringer button WOW

ok so now that i bitched and complained on to the real issue: i now come to realize that the vibration is not workin !!the phone is still open and i JUST put a new headphone/vibrator/onoff switch/volume piece in there so there should be no problem. So what could be the problem?? this damn phone is so cursed... im soon going to throw it against a wall PLEASE HELP

ugh-- hope you didn't pay a lot for that because it seems like a lemon-- and sine you already broke it open and such, the Apple store won't help you-- try and sell it for parts I suppose.

I had that same issue a long while back, I think I held down the home button for like 30 seconds and it came back to life. I assume you have reset it yes?

That sucks, it may be a problem with the connector from the power to the vibrator, it happened to my razr a few years back.
