Looks pretty good. Is this a native port for Mac and Linux or a wrapper ?

I wanted to update this thread….

PoE is now available for pre-order! Huzzah! Pre-order from Steam, or from GOG if you prefer the (DRM-free) non-Steaming version. Mac and PC both available for pre-order, so it looks likely to be a simultaneous release. :D

And yes, it does look very much like a modernized Baldur's Gate. My only question would be, what kind of RPG mechanics are they using? Baldurs was based on the mechanics of D&D 3.5.

Baldur's Gate wasn't using the AD&D 3.5 rule set, think of the isometric titles released, only Icewind Dale 2 was. Baldur's Gate was based on the AD&D 2nd Edition rule set: http://www.gamefaqs.com/pc/75251-baldurs-gate/faqs/8566

PoE is not a licensed AD&D title, but has it's own rule set
