I don't know whether to call this an episode of Mad Monday, Slow News day, or YCMTSU (You Can't Make This **** Up).. but it would be hilarious of @arn picked this up for the front page of the site.

Apparently this morning VASAviation uploaded a clip from KORL (Orlando Executive Airport), where a pilot dropped his iPhone out of his plane, and it landed on the runway. Airport Operations went onto the runway to find it, and.. well.. I'll let the video take it from here. Enjoy.

How does a pilot or anyone drop a phone outside an aircraft taking off? Can they open the windows in the cockpit? I thought that all doors and windows are closed and armed prior to take off.

Yet smh, so many people uses their iPhone normally and all sorts of issue pops up.
Nonetheless, this little moment might bring a chuckle to hardware design engineer inside Cupertino.

This wasn't a flight out of MCO (Orlando International). This was the Orlando Executive Airport (KORL): a General Aviation airport. The aircraft in question was a Piper Seminole:

The side window was open for some reason (why, we do not know), and I guess he had it in his hand, and it fell out. Why one would be holding an iPhone out the driver's side window at 60mph, let alone on a full takeoff roll at 60-80kts is beyond anyone. But how the Ground controller took it was hilarious.
