Pimp My Ride W/Monocarbon Headphone Cup Covers

I'll probably add my black silicon headband cover instead of the green. On the other hand I do have Apple green ear pads on. There is another style of the ear cup covers offered BTW.

Tomorrow I'll try both the black silicon headband cover and the stock black ear pads for the mono color look! I'll update with pics tomorrow front and back.

The carbon ear cup covers are from Monocarbon. I ordered directly from them as I wanted to make sure I got their updated design that doesn't cover the BT antenna (apparently the update resolves any BT issues.

So far I am getting the same great connection though the house, and even out to the end of the driveway mailbox (while connected to my M1 MacMini)! In other words I getting the same extraordinary distance with or without the ear cup covers.

Note: These covers do protect the cups from going metal to metal clanging, and of course the potential damage. Though one cup still exposes the metal to the other cup, that is now covered with the cover. Perfectly acceptable. I assume the cutout is for keeping the BT antenna uncovered in order to preserve BT distance.

Full disclosure: I did buy these for list price. But the manufacturer generously threw in a pen because I took the time to inquire on how to get the updated version.

Now that I've seen how neat these products look I am going to get an iPhone 11 Pro cover and look hard at their other accessories. Wish they made an iPad Pro case!

Were these as cheap as silicon covers? Heck no, but the look is worth the money! Haha, there is nothing "cheap" about the AirPod Max. So why go cheap. Am I cool or what? Don't answer that. Now back to Neil Young & Crazy Horse, "Colorado".

I've got a black headband protector, as well as black ear cups. I'll post some pics tomorrow. Or are you referring to the alternative carbon fiber ear cup protectors, that have a "twisty, braided, design?

If you make another purchase, don't do it today. lol Congrats on the 40th. In today's world, that is not a common occurrence like it used to be.
