pinch to zoom over vga cable

when i connect my ipad to an external display for a presentation, i'd like to be able to pinch to zoom images or keynote slides like in the photos app. in the photos app i'm able to view images in a slideshow but the external display doesn't show it when i zoom in. is there a way to do this?

There is a j/b app that allows you to mimic iPad's screen, just like Jobs did during keynote. I do not remember its name, but it has been posted here.

It kinda works but its glitchy.. In the photos app where i wanted to use it it the external display freezes after loading a few images
