Nope, totally new app, just like Tweetie did with Tweetie 2.

Did this App get bought? I don't remember it being made by the same people that make MessageNow and TextNow. MessageNow and Ping seem to compete in the same space as well.

Is it true that iphone 4g/hd will have a im chat implemented in it?

At the moment whats better ping or whatsapp? and why?
(once ping is on all smartphones I would definitely use it)
