Hello everybody!

My 12" PowerBook needs to take a trip to the doctor. FireWire port is a bit wonky.

I'm borrowing a neighbor's Pismo which is in next-to-stock condition. However, the battery will not charge. It remains at 0% while "Calculating..." time until full. I've zapped PRAM, reset nvram, swapped bays, and reset the PMU. I had to pull the PRAM battery to get it to boot. Is it just a dead PRAM battery? Or is it something more?

I'm using this laptop primarily as a school computer, and although it would be nice if the battery lasted the entire day I don't mind bringing the A/C adapter with me. (Something I've not had to do for years! But oh well, what can you expect with a six year old computer that was let sit for about 18 months until I was told about it and fixed it up a bit.) Basically, I'd just like the battery to charge!
