Mr. Mobile with a bit of a hands on...

Not too 💰, Google Assistant, snug fitting. Case supports USB-C & wireless charging, & is very portable 👍🏼

He doesn’t delve too far into audio quality (music), though no complaints there, & phone calls seem fine for the most part.

No active Noise Cancelling though, so these are competing against the Galaxy Buds 2, rather than AirPods Pro.

Anyone here interested?

I suspect these will sell better than the first ones. I think having a wire connecting the two buds made the product a nonstarter for a lot of people.

I really do think Apple have stolen a huge march on everyone with the Airpods and Pros.

Pretty sure I read somewhere that if Apple was to separate it's buds business from Big Apple Inc it'd be a fortune 500 company in itself.

It's almost too late for the competition to catch up.

I'm seeing mixed reviews. Some say they're too expensive for not having ANC. Also complaints they have a bit of static and the battery life is way lower than the competition.

No more expensive than AirPods 2 with its wireless charging case and has the same amount of usage time

Why do Google need to “catch up”? They’re merely providing a similar experience like Apple does for its Pixel range. Plenty of room for everyone.

Compare to the standard Apple Airpods which themselves are overpriced...like almost all Apple products. The problem is Google doesn't have the premium label attached to them like Apple does.

This. Connectivity seems to be the most common complaints on any of these wireless buds, even the premium ones from Sony and Bose.

I don't have Airpods, but I'm wondering if this is the reason Apple made their own wireless chip.

Yup. The Verge said real world usage was closer to 3.5 hrs battery. Also, very weak low end and the little pointy bit becomes uncomfortable over time. Mic tests showed subpar performance compared to both the AirPods and Galaxy Buds+.

In fact, I think I’d seriously consider Samsung’s offering over these. Much better battery life and mic performance for calls as well as being cheaper.

Huge improvement over the originals for sure but the competition hasn’t been sitting still either.

Personally, I don't understand why the Galaxy Buds arent talked about more. I haven't used the Airpods Pro, but I have used the regular Airpods and my Galaxy Buds plus are infinitely better. They have better battery, fit, and sound quality. The only thing the Airpods do really well IMO is the mic is excellent.

I'm on the fence about these. I'd like to see some adjustability of the hooks. The buds I have now (also true wireless that, IMO, didn't get enough press as they're great) have 3 or 4 different size "skins" to get the right fit of the hooks to hold them in place.

I'm also curious how the sound isolation is (not ANC). My current buds isolate well, to the point that a switchable transparency feature was added for when you're in situations where you WANT to hear outside noise.

The wireless buds I have (Zolo Liberty+, no longer available sadly) keep SOLID connection, MUCH better than the Anker Soundbuds Surge when the Anker buds are worn with the wire behind the neck as intended.

I had the last version of the Galaxy Buds and liked them—very comfortable, has a subtle little ‘wing’ that lock them in place in your ear. Sound quality was fine, OK but nothing special, which is how you’d generally describe the audio quality out of most truly wireless earbuds (including the AirPods). The downsides of the last version was the downright awful microphones and mediocre battery life (case only had an extra 7 hours of battery life). Seems that they have addressed both of those issues with this revision.

If I couldn’t have my AirPods Pro, the Samsung Buds+ would be my second choice. The AirPods Pro are pretty damn great though—the ANC, transparency mode and fitted silicone ear tips are huge steps up over the traditional AirPods.

Everything Ive read about the Airpod Pro makes it sound like they are great. But to be fair, they should be at that price point. The regular Airpods just dont make sense to me unless you want the little easy connect features by staying in the apple ecosystem. Otherwise, they are bested in almost every category by cheaper alternatives.

This is a major reason why Apple’s winning with their Pro’s - no hard plastic enters your ear, only the soft silicon tip.

You realize a majority of the other brands have silicon tips too right? Apple did a very Apple thing with the regular Airpods...they said here's the one size and it will fit everyone and if it doesn't you're wearing it wrong. Thankfully they fixed that with the Pros but they're charging a premium for it.

But their silicon tips surround a hard plastic tip & aren't able to compress as much as the Pro silicon tips, which attribute to a reduction in their comfort longevity.

Only downside seems to be no ANC aside from that it’s not a bad price given the average price in the market and will work great with google phones. Google assistant and all.

It’s more the ANC that’s why it’s so high from the air pods 2 and to be honest it is pretty great and I’m sure others will start to add that soon.

Got my pair today and have them set up. They sound great and are the most comfortable pair of all the ones I have. Setup with quick pair is nice and effortless. It gives a tutorial of the function and how to operate the many features.

I've had the Airpods Pro, Galaxy Buds 2 and now the Pixel Buds.

For me, the Pixel Buds are the most comfortable buds I've worn. They feel snug and light. I have the Pixel 4 XL and a iPhone 11 PRO and when I'm using the Pixel Buds with the Pixel 4 XL, the Google Assistant is just amazing.

The Pixel Buds wireless chargjng case feels much more better than both the Airpods and Galaxy buds 2.
