I found a little file that apparently checks for dead pixels and what not. Problem is after i download it, it opens up MS Word?!


its a .sit file and I downloaded it off of macupdate.com

All you really need is to try a fully blank screen in several colors. If you have Office, just take a series of powerpoint slides, color the whole thing in... red, green, blue, black, white, and cycle through them, and any dead pixel should be obvious on at least one of them.
