Pixel2 Messages download to Mac

Hi All, Struggling to find app that ACTUALLY will download an entire txt stream from my Pixel2 to my iMac.
Has anyone successfully done this? Can only seem to be able to view and download any jpg's from the messages stream and NONE of the text data. Cant even view it!

Are you just trying to view texts? Similar to messages on iOS and Mac.

The only option I'm aware of is using the Messages for Web function in your browser. Which will then work with your Pixel's built in text message app. Linked is the login page which also give instructions on how to use it for your phone.

Use Google Messages for web to send SMS, MMS, and RCS messages from your computer. Open the Messages app on your Android phone to get started.

Unfortunately, I know of no dedicated application which will sync just the web interface. One annoying aspect of the web interface. Is it doesn't support line breaks between paragraphs.

Thanks velocityg4. It's extremely frustrating that the Oligarch that is Google can't even match the technology of 2002 when I could download any txt stream from any or all contacts in my Nokia 3310 to my PC running Windows XP. Then again........maybe I should check to see if there is a PC option to do what it appears Mac can't.
