Two years ago I bought a customized Mac Pro 5,1 with a GTX 980 GPU and a 1TB boot drive with Raid 0 made up of four Samsung 860 EVO SSD mSATA on some PCIe card (I forget which). I’ve never opened this thing up until recently when I switched from the 6 Core to the 12 Core.
The day I ordered it, I remember the guy telling me that he had to modify the power supply so that way when I do switch to the GTX 1080 Ti (cause I said I wanted to), that I will have enough power to do so. So when I opened it up, I saw the modification and was wondering, is this a version of the Pixla’s Mod?
