So I have the first rev B MBA model and the drive is taking a crap on me right now. I ordered one Runcore from ireland to the USA and it didnt work for me so I'm wondering what I should do. I returned that one so I'm left wondering what vendor should I seek out? Also, if I want a slow ass drive just like the one that this POS came with where would I get the right one? And not be stuck with one thats made for the Rev As?

Who in Ireland did you order it from? MemoryC? They are a great company. Unfortunately, the RunCore is pretty much your only aftermarket option as far as i know.

May i ask, what didn't work about the RunCore drive? It may have needed to been formatted to HFS+ first...

I would recommend a Renice SSD from http://www.mydigitaldiscount.com. People seem to agree they are better than the RunCore and mydigitaldiscount specializes in selling drives for 1st gen MBA's so you'll get excellent after sale support.

You could also keep your eye on eBay for a used standard HD or a "for parts" Rev. A.

The OP stated that he has a Rev B. The hard drives are of different interfaces between Rev A and Rev B.

Rev B uses a SATA LIF while the Rev A uses a PATA ZIF. Be careful.
