I placed a sticker there, realizing only later whether or not it could hurt the screen when I close the lid...

Hi Hieveryone,

It depends on how thick your sticker is. If the sticker is thick enough to touch the display screen when you close the lid, then yes, over time, you may see some sort of mark left by the sticker on the display. If you don't see any mark on the display after a few days, then the sticker is probably thin enough not to touch the display screen.

EDIT: I've seen laptops with a lot of stickers next to the trackpad, so I suspect your machine will be fine.

Thanks! I don't close the lid too often which is I made this error. I'm not sure if it is thick enough or not to make a mark on the screen, but my screen is dusty. I guess the next time I close it, I could see if there is a mark on the dust. That may help me figure it out. Worst case I can just remove the sticker and if it is re-usable, I'll put it on the lid
