My dad placed his old macbook air on my new retina macbook air. There is no physical damage I can see.Do you think I should worry? What are the things I can do to ensure my new Macbook Air Retina works as intended?

Placed? Simply stacking two laptops isn't going to damage them, unless there is somehow a major weight problem which there most certainly would not be with MacBook Airs.

Only emotional damage by the sounds of it 😅 The Youtube channel Max Tech don't seem to have any issues doing it, and they stack them 4 high for their Youtube comparison thumbnails 🙂

Was the new MacBook open? If it was it may scratch the screen. If they're closed then no of course not. Unless he literally threw it on there.
