Hey guys, PlaceTagger 1.1 makes use of a bunch of new iPhone 3.0 features and is now available. We've dropped the price by 20% to celebrate for a _SHORT_ period of time so grab it while you can!

PlaceTagger geotags photos on your Mac. Windows users can export to GPX and use RoboGeo or a similar program. :)

just purchased this to give it a go,

want to be able to tag my photos taken on my canon slr, have borrowed a friends GPS recoding unit in the past then sync'd the details across from the logs.

Hoping this will do the same sort of thing once ive sync'd my camera and iphone times.

shame this wont run in the background but thats apples limitation, not the software.

hopefully will do what i require

Jailbreak and install backgrounder :) ... and buy and imaxpower battery pack, cause it will suck your battery dry.

I love PlaceTagger, I'm big on geotagging all my pictures and when I can't I feel kinda bummed.

Never fancied jailbreaking since I sold my 1st gen iPhone however I agree that this does need to background

so I took the plunge last night and jailbroke my 3gs

you are right I've gone from bad battery life to really bad battery life

Will look up the battery you refer to

thanks for the tips

Well the Jailbreak shouldn't affect your battery in any way(it hasn't for me), but running Placetagger in the background while doing other stuff.. that would kill anyones battery
