Hi. IT installed the new OS system on my machine. NICE but lots of problems with things. The most major is all my iweb files have disappeared.
I have tried looking under Application Support but there is no iweb folder. I even looked under iwork. IT is now on holidays. And I need to complete a website for work that I had 99% done on iweb. Any suggestions where to look. I am desperate!!!!:(:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Did he archive and restore? If he did a clean install, your website is gone. You learned your lesson: Never, ever, ever, ever....etc reinstall an OS without a backup!

If an IT person did an install of OS on my machine without a backup I would get him fired. That is the most incompetent IT department I have ever heard of.
I am sorry you have to deal with that.

yep its gone. very sheepish IT guy slunked into office from his hols. (maybe it was the messages on his phone in which my fury was simmering below a very sarcastic tone of politeness)...as the only mac in a pc environment I have taken my babe back.(i have done all installs on my macs for the past seven years in this office, and more at home. I always backup -so it was a little bit of surprise to me on my arrival to start up into a new os) No admin privs for him anymore. Was super pissed that it was done afterhours....can give me no answer for "where is the backup? ".... left it to the boss to handle...with a "glowing" report and simple explanation for launch delay....and for him a super realisation that a proper web program needs to be purchased.... finally. So at least one decent positive amid the crap I will need to trawl through for the rest of the week.:)
