Planning to buy Iphone - is a new iphone on its way?

Hi,

Am planning to buy an iphone ... Is a new one to be launched soon? How soon? Should I wait for the new iPhone? Your advice will be much appreciated Thanks!

A new iPhone (historically) comes out every summer... So you have a good 6~7 months before a new one is released.

A simple search will tell you that most seem to believe June as the time for the new iPhone. History shows June as being consistent and given the contract nature of the phone it only makes sense for Apple to keep the cycle consistent.

Confusing

It seems like the next version of the iPhone will be released this summer (I conclude this after reading several threads and searching).

If the iPhone is believed to be released in next summer, why does the MacRumors Buyer's Guide have the recommendation "Don't Buy - Updates soon" (in red!): https://buyersguide.macrumors.com//#iPhone

I understand that this is based on previous product cycles, but shouldn't a human intervene and correct this if better knowledge is available???
