Plants vs. Zombies (Mac version) Question

I have PVZ (not the Steam version) on an old MBP that I am upgrading. I have played the game for years, hence I have a user account which has beaten the game, given me access to all of the puzzles and mini-games, lots of coins, etc. In short, I don't want to have to go through the game and spend literally years getting back what I have earned.

But, I don't want to use migration assistant to my new machine just for this game. I have a lot of old cruft I want to leave out and fresh install apps as needed. Is there any way I can get the user info from the old PVZ version onto my new machine; like a preference file or something I can bring over which will let me pick up on the new machine where I left off on the old one? Thanks in advance.

Hold down alt and go to the Go menu in the Finder and select Library.

The preferences for the game should be in the following locations.

<user-dir>/Library/Preferences/com.popcap.plantsvszombies.plist
<user-dir>/Library/Application Support/PopCap/PlantsVsZombieMac

I don't know of other locations are required to be backed up but I would move those two over and see if it works.

It's likely, but if you only copy the files you won't break your initial install while you test it on your new one. I would also look in the library for anything else containing the words popcap.

I don't have the game installed but I am fairly certain those are the key files.
