I've been using DisplayConfigX on my MBP so that I can watch movies on my 42" Plasma, but as of late have been a little dissatisfied. It's not perfect, and it really feels like something that should be done without the aid of an external application.
I wanted to watch an Instant Movie from Netflix so I swapped over to bootcamp and lo and behold, nVidia popped up asking to install my TV. I did so, and it came up with a nice scaling tool that allowed me to resize the output to the right point where there was no bored and no cropping. I was pleased.
My question---does the mac do this in some way, or am I condemned to use DisplayConfigX for eternity?
