I want to stream some movies from an external connected to my Macbook onto my ATV2. Is there anyway to do this without iTunes copying the movie file into my iTunes library? It's fine if the movie is listed in the "Movies" section of my iTunes but I don't want it actually copied.

I basically want to have the movies in iTunes but I don't want them copied off of my external onto my computer.

Note: I have "Copy files to iTunes media folder" checked because I like for my music to be copied (just not my music). Thanks!

Drag from Finder to iTunes while keeping Option pressed. It'll add the movie using a reference to the location on disk, but won't copy the file.

I'm going to start to do something similar with a new external hard drive on my PC. How would I do the same thing on a PC? Holding shift or something?
