I have all my music on an external hard drive how do I play my music on I Tunes without connecting the external hard drive to my computer? I already have I tunes on my external hard drive.

Sorry , I want to make things to make things more clear. I have all my music in externals hard disc , when I play music in iTune I always have to have the externals hard disc on , but the music can not play if the external hardest if it is not connecting to the lop tub ?, what can I solve this problem ?.

Well, if the songs are stored on an external harddrive, it kind of has to be connected to your computer and powered on. It is impossible to read files from a hard drive that isn't even turned on. If you want to play music without the external hard drive you would need to copy the music to your laptop.
