anyone having issues playing Apple music through their car’s USB port with iOS11?

I have a 2013 Hyundai Elantra. SOMETIMES music will playback as intended but more often than not, the car display shows “playback error”.

It will work via Bluetooth but it’s not as seamless (can’t change tracks from the steering wheel).

I had a similar issue when ios10 shipped. Has several calls with Apple support, then one of the first updates to ios10 seemed to fix it.

Wish Apple didn’t break things that previously worked.

Infuriatingly I have the same issue on my Kia Cee'd

USB playback worked great but now i get "connection error" when using Apple Music or the default player

Strangely when I start playing Spotify and plug it in will detect and start playing music but I would much rather use Apple Music

I really hope they fix it as Bluetooth streaming quality doesn't float my boat.

I also thought it was a cable issue but i have since tried 3 cables (one of them brand new) and still the same issue and my car stereo isn't getting a firmware upgrade anytime soon :S

Anybody else have similar issues?

I'll add in - 2013 Hyundai Accent with USB is doing the same thingericg301 mentioned. The fix for Music is to force-quit the Music app, press the Aux/USB button. This starts playback automatically (first track alphabetically) and doesn't display the Playback Error.
