Have you heard of Risk? a strategy game based on the popular board game. it is an excellent game, addictive too specially as muyltiplayer game. there is a big online community playing it on PC but it needs to be revived for macs. Gameranger.com the supporters of online Age of Empires do support Risk II but there are no many players signing in these days.
if you like challenging strategy games and enjoy meeting new people to compete with or just to chat and have fun then get your RISK II (works on powerPC and on Intel through Rosetta) and come over to gameranger.
