Hi,

I have some Blu-Ray and 4k UHD Blu-Ray discs, and my Panasonic player died.

I was wondering, if I got some Mac compatible Blu-Ray player and connect it to Mac Mini M1,
would I be able to play those discs?

My Mac is connected to an OLED TV with Dolby Vision supported.

Thanks.

You'll need a 3rd-party BluRay player app.

The one I have is "Free Mac Blu-Ray Player" (though I've used it only a couple of times).

The "free" version will put a very small "logo" in the upper-left-hand corner of the display.
Easily ignored.

You need to pay a registration fee to get rid of it (and perhaps unlock advanced features).

BTW, I used this only to play "regular" BD's -- not "4k".
Whether it works or not with 4k, can't say.
