Is there anyway to start playing a movie or tv show before apple tv decides its downloaded enough of the file and pops the ready to watch message up? I know it depends on the speed the device is receiving the file at but sometimes my kids are chewing up bandwidth with xbox live traffic and mytv shows can get up to 80% downloaded before the message pops up. I find that to be quite silly as I'd rather watch the first 1% - 80% of the show than nothing.

Im thinking there must be a way to start playing it early, anyone?

thx.

I don't know of any way to do this on the appletv.

But one thing that helped me is to make sure you have a very good router. A "gaming" router can make a big difference in throughput.

No one else has had this issue and been annoyed by it? It happens to me quite a bit and it's starting to bug me more and more. There's got to be a way to play it early, anyone?

thx.
