Is there a way to play .avi and other file formats on iphone? I heard VLC player was an option but I'm not quite sure how to use it and couldn't find it in the app store either.

Also, how would you transfer the movie to your iphone? I need an alternative to itunes.

AVPlayerHD will play any format you can imagine. Gonna cost a couple bucks though.

And you transfer from Mac or PC vi iTunes and USB connection. Open itunes, click on the apps tab, scroll down to avplayer Nd then drag and drop from computer to avplayer.

Nice thing is, avplayer has subtitles, you can delete any file from your idevice, creTe folders and move files as you wish within the app, move files via wifi or bluetooth (cant remember which), and the list goes on.

I use GoodPlayer and it works perfectly fine but it costs $2.99. They also have VLC for iOS which is free.
