Anyone else notice this? Seems like with iOS 9 the ability to play music from the cache has been removed. I only noticed this as my husband kept going on and on about it since it was released and after being told to just download the music for offline listening, he refuses (says he doesn't want to micromanage his music). Any version of offline listening is important in London as when you are underground (or even in some buildings) you lose signal and anything that is not stored on the phone stops playing. Apparently, he was able to play music from the cache in iOS 8.4.1.

Do you think this could simply be something that will start happening as the cache is rebuilt or something that Apple may have removed the ability to do in favour of downloading the music?

I think PlayTube may have been ended (although not that familiar with it), but this was more in reference to music from the music app
