Hi,

I would like to play DVDs on my new highdef TV from my laptop. The only connector that I have is the S-Video cable, which I don't want to use. Is there any way to somehow output the display using component cables?

I hook my laptop ( 12inch G4) up to my high def LCD TV via a DVI input. What inputs are on your TV and what revision 12 inch G4 do you have?

Agreed. If at all possible stay digital and use a DVI or HDMI (using mini-DV to DVi and DVI to HDMI adapter cables) input on your HDTV.

Otherwise use the mini-DVI to VGA adapter and the cables I linked to in the previous post.

You may need SwitchResX to match the resolution of your HDTV.
