I don't know if this is allowed to ask because I know how anal some forums are about this but I am wondering if anyone knows a way to play ET:QW without a CD in the drive. I legally purchased ET:QW so dont yell at me telling me to go buy the game.

I cant seem to find any mini-isos on the net, has anyone made one or know of one? I was thinking it would be great if I could get a mini iso and write a script that when I click the ET:QW icon it would launch the mini iso then launch the game... I dont want to have the disc in 24/7 it wears out my drive.

Aspyr has also ignored my emails about removing the copy protection (guess im the only one who wants it removed) :/

This is ridiculous to have to deal with this when even linux and windows users dont, gg aspyr. anyways does anyone know of any? You could PM me if you dont want to say in the forum - thanks!

Maybe I should reword this - does anyone know how I can make a mini iso of my legally purchased DVD for ET:QW? Is there a good program?

The copy protection isn't fooled by an ISO so don't bother with that. Yes, it is lame that the Mac version has this requirement and the other versions don't. No, you're not the only one who wants it removed. You can blame 1) the pirates who make stuff like this happen in the first place and 2) Aspyr for not using a less annoying solution. Not that blaming will help....

Although you can "fool" it easily in Windows with mini-isos. Battlefield 2's mini iso works just fine. Thats why the copy protection is hilarious. Its easier to beat then any other method if your really wanting to. Thats why I am wondering if there is a mini-iso program in OS X like Alcohol 52/120% in Windows.
