Can someone PLEASE help me fairly new to using bottlewiner and using that to play games on mac. I'v figured out how to extract it mount the image and get it to install. I did everything right but can't seem to get the game to play..there are files in the game game folder that say steam.api..does that mean I also need steam to play? If so what do I need to do when I download steam? If not why won't the games run when I launch the game with wine bottler?

Not sure why you're trying to use WINE or a wrapper - there's a native OS X version of this available on Steam with SteamPlay - You buy it once and get access to both the Windows and OS X version at the same time.

I would never use WINE or a wrapper for anything. Native all the way!

I also don't understand what you mean by this. The game doesn't have a physical release on PC...unless of course by "image" you mean something you downloaded from someplace other than an official release channel. Did you download this from someplace other than an official release channel?

Simply buy the native version where you can, much more stable than using any wrappers or pirated version and you support the developers as well ;-).

You could just buy the legitimate version on Steam, it's Mac native and has been since launch day!

Some Windows games I've bought from places like Amazon have included .exe installation files, which is why I wanted to ask the question. But if the OP got a key when he purchased the game, he could just enter that into the appropriate field in the Steam client and be good to go from there.
