Yeah I don't think you can view video because when the Xbox 360 reads the iPod, it only finds media that the Xbox 360 can read which is basic MP3, AAV, and all the others. Just music only. To view videos burn it on a CD and pop it in. The last update for 360 I think added support for MPEG4 and other formats on CDs.

You can play them on the 360.
I was doing it yesterday. But with a usb flash drive, not an ipod.
but It'll work just the same.

First you have to be connected to Xbox Live.
When you plug in the ipod, you have to go to the media blade, click on the Videos tab.
You'll see Console, Computer, Compact Disc, and Portable Device. (or something like that).
try playing the portable device, and it'll prompt you to download a free update that enables ipod playback for the MP3/AAV music files, or MP4 video files.

Bummer, doesn't work. Signed into Xbox live, got newest update, but under the videos tab in 'media,' it won't recognize my iPod video. works fine for pictures and music, though...

Ipod DOES WORK on Xbox 360!

I looked into my 3rd gen iPod Nano's files, to find a solution to the xbox 360 not recognizing its videos. After making all hidden files visible, I opened up the "iPod_Control" folder, and deleted some stuff, such as the "iTunes" folder (since i"m using this iPod as a disk drive),and the Quicktime "Rentals" folder (for my own means) and I probably deleted another folder that I cant remember right now, but, I attached the iPod to the xbox 360 and went into the video library, and there it was, all of my videos, ready to be veiwed!

I'll have a confirmation video up soon.
