playing lan games on mac against pc

hi im thinking about buying an imac. i go to a boarding school and we play a lot of lan games but there all on pc computers(windows only). if i get the imac will i be able to play with them? any help would be good

Depends on the game you are playing, most won't, Valves will.
If you want a clear answer you should google it, since it is different for every game.

ok fair enough. we play alotof COD4 do u think i would be able to play that? i looked at WINE but i could tell if that would let me play over lan
