OK so I admit I was playing the waiting game to buy my first mac until Leopard came out. Since it has now be delayed by 6 months, I can't wait any longer. How much is it going to cost me to upgrade from Tiger once it is finally released?

OK so I admit I was playing the waiting game to buy my first mac until Leopard came out. Since it has now be delayed by 6 months, I can't wait any longer. How much is it going to cost me to upgrade from Tiger once it is finally released?
Congratulations, you won't be disappointed with your purchase, Leopard or not. As the others have said, Leopard will likely be the same as Tiger costs now, but nothing has been announced from Apple.
there was a recent rumor hinting that leopard would include ilife and possibly iwork. if this is the case, i have a hard time believing leopard will be sold for the standard $129.
^^Those types of rumours are never true. I can't remember this type of rumour that has ever come true here, and we've had lots.

iLife isn't included with the OS

All I can say is this: I was a PC user until last week. I pulled the trigger on the 24" iMac after making everyone in my life crazy with my incessant jabber about waiting for Leopard or new hardware. Sitting in front of this incredible machine, I'm glad that I finally shutup and made my credit card smoke . I've been floored with the design of both the current iMac and OS X Tiger. I'd suggest getting your new system now and enjoying it until Leopard finally hits the market. Tiger has enough incredible features that it'll probably keep you busy until October anyway! $129 is a small price to pay for the satisfaction you'll get over the coming months.
I've also spoken with a number of people about upgrading OS X since I too am all too familiar with how 'messy' Windows upgrades can be when compared to full installs. Time and time again, people say that OS X upgrades are just as efficient as full installs, offering the same performance in the end.

Really? Damn... .that means you have to purchase iLife seperately?
What is included in iLife exactly?
iTunes (available as free download though), iMovie, iPhoto , iDVD, iWeb and Garageband
Although Every so often apple adds a new application, in iLife 04 it was garageband, and in iLife 06 it was iWeb.
Your current iLife suite will work under leopard so you won't be forced to purchase it, just if you want all the new features

I'm confused though. I didn't buy iLife and I have and use all those programs (except for iWeb and iDvd). Is it free with new computers or something?
