Hi,

I hooked my iPad up to a digital projector recently........boy am I hoping that the OS update expands this capability LOTS...........ok, so I was able to use Keynote and play videos that I ripped. However, I could not play iTune downloaded movies using the digital projector. I kept getting a 'This Machine Not Authorized.....' message. As soon as I unplugged the VGA adapted cable the movie started playing on the iPad. Plug it back......movie gives me the same message.

I wonder if the TV adapter for the new iPods could be used in place of the VGA cable? Most projectors have RCA connectors...hmmmmm. The VGA cable has very limited functionality.

Yes, you can use the Component and Composite cables, for the iPod video on the iPad. You cannot use the VGA Cable for the iPod video or use anything with Netflix, at least until OS 4, then maybe we can use it.
