I have a pile of video clips taken with a compact Sony player that outputs in MPEG1. Using MPEG Streamclip I converted a pile of them into MPEG4 so I could view them on my iPad along with the photos taken at the same time.

The problem I have is that around a half of them will sync, display and play on the iPad - all older videos that were shot and converted at 320x240 resolution. The more modern ones taken at 640x480 will not sync to the iPad at all. With the conversions the only different thing I did was set frame rate at 24 per second, I think I did this will all of them however.

Any idea why the iPad will not display these bigger but still conventional res clips?

Thanks.
