I have successfully figured out how to export and import a playlist and copies of my mp3s/mpas/etc from one mac to another. The issue is that I am losing all the individual song option settings I have created once imported into iTunes on the new mac. It is essential to me that each song options settings, i.e. Volume Adjustment, Equalizer Preset, Start Time and Stop time, are not lost when imported into the 2nd itunes app. It would be so helpful to find if there is a solve to my frustration. I have searched the internet to no avail! My goal is specifically to do the following:
--transfer a 1) playlist and the 2) music files from one mac to another that is not on the same network
--transfer the playlist and files by way of a zipped folder on a flash drive rather than burning a disc
--Keep the playlist, once imported into the 2nd iTunes, exactly how it is edited on the original iTunes with the original song-order, volume adjustments, equalizer presets, start times and stop times intact.

The method i used was:
--burning discs [it took 2 discs] of the playlist from the 1st mac/itunes
--exporting a playlist .XML file of the playlist from the 1st mac/itunes
--adding the music files from the burned discs to the 2nd mac/iTunes
--importing the .XML playlist to the 2nd mac/itunes

Can anyone tell me definitively if there is a way to transfer playlists without losing all the precious option settings I spent hours making? For me, a playlist is pointless if the flow of music is compromised! thanks so much!
