Does anyone know what the iTunes file is called that contains the playlists on the Windows version? And/or is it possible to connection the iPod as a HDD and pull that file off the iPod and place it back on the PC so iTunes will see it? If so, where do I put the file?

Basically what happened is I moved my gf's itunes music folder to a different drive and itunes "lost" all the info. I drug all the songs back into iTunes, but I can't find the file that contains the playlist info.

iTunes in Windows

It is usually under C:\My Documents\My Music\iTunes
or the specified folder you designated it to

and the files are "iTunes Music Library.xml" and "iTunes Library.itl"

make sure the drive letter the music is in is the same one it was before and that it has the same path
(to change it go to control panel > Administrative Tools > Computer Management > Disk Management > and Right Click the drive to change its letter)

There is a way to change the path in the "iTunes Music Library.xml" but I've never tried it.

Thanks man. I tried it but couldn't get it to work. The playlists show up in iTunes but they are all empty. I even edited the xml w/o luck.
