Hi,

I like to add my own music to my iphone, but im also using 'apple music' - so i have icloud music library turned on - which disables the ability for me to drag and drop tracks onto my phone in itunes.
So, i 'add music to library' then right click the track, click add to i cliud music library, then go to my playlist i want to put it in, click edit, then drag it in. Then on my iphone, the track appears in that playlist and it downloads it to my iphone so i don't have to stream it.
(i download my own tracks natively to my iphone whereas apple music stuff i stream, it just saves me streaming everything and using loads of data)

The Problem - The above is inconsistent. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Like this morning, i added 2 tracks to my library, one of them copied to my iphone fine, the other one just sat there greyed out for ages.

Problem 2 - When i right click the track to 'add to my icloud music library' - it sometimes does it, sometimes doesn't. I often get the dotted cloud symbol, meaning it hasn't uploaded to my icloud library.

I'm getting pretty fed up of this now. All i want to do is simply add a track or 2 sometimes to my iphone, and im having to really go the long way around to do it, and like i say, sometimes it doesn't even do it at all.
In this day and age, are you really telling us that we can't just drag and drop a track to our phones in less than 2 seconds?

Does anyone have any solutions as to why its inconsistent? Or what can be done?

Thanks

I'm also annoyed by this.

It's just ridiculous. Such a poor working of the whole music/syncing section.
I don't expect anything less from Apple to be honest.
They used to be good 10 years ago.
