One of the things I am loving about Apple Music is the suggested playlists that pop up in the For You tab, some of them are great and perfectly catered to me.

However when I've gone to save the playlist to listen to again it automatically adds all the tracks to my library which is what I don't want. I only have full albums in my personal library and I really don't want to start having random tracks dotted around the place.

Is it possible to create or save playlists from Apple Music which purely stream tracks and do not cross over with my personal library at all? Or am I just going to have to sit back and hope they introduce this feature in the future o_O

I think there is no easy was to do this, no. As far as I can tell, all songs in your playlists will automatically be added to your library. Yes, annoying, I understand. I used to be very album-focussed also (I gave this up a few years ago), so I feel your pain.

The one good thing is that when you remove the playlist again from "My Music", the songs are also removed from your library again, so it's messy, but potentially temporary.

It would be great if Apple could offer us a possibility to split our library into folders, where one folder can be "My Stuff, for keeps" and one folder for "Incidental Stuff". I created a lot of playlists now based on the Billboard top 100 songs in the 70s and 80s for background listening, and now my library is cluttered with artists who I am not terribly interested in with "1 album, 1 song" below their names.

Apple should understand that people differentiate between "Music I love", "Music I like" and "Musik I can listen to sometimes" and that we don't want to have this all smushed into one library.

Thanks for the reply! I completely agree.

I'll have to sit back and hope they come up with some sort of solution. The whole idea of integrating streaming with personal library is really good but there also does need to be some sort of separation sometimes.
