Please Advice: MBP16 Catalina to Big Sur Update

Quick poll to see if people with Macbook Pro 16-inch should upgrade from Catalina to Big Sur as of March 2021.

I have been reading a lot of ups and downs and then many updates mentioned (which I am not really in the loop). Therefore, it would be great to have feedback of those who experienced it first hand.

It would also be great if you could elaborate on your recommendation addressing major points.

I upgraded at the beginning and everything works perfect. Just make sure that all your key programs are compatible with Big Sur.

I wish I never updated. the macbook16 has stuttering issues even when I downloaded fan control and make the fans run full blast before it hits 60 Celcius to avoid thermal throttles. I prefer how Catalina Notes looked. I never had issues with Catalina and I liked this Mac when I first got it before the update. I think eventually I will wipe this Mac clean to get Catalina or get rid of it and get a new M chip Mac as Big Sur runs snappy on that form my tests but also id get a separate windows system for certain software. People said the MBP16 had heating issues in Catalina when plugged into monitor but I barely even noticed that. Now I have heating issues and jerky UI with the MacBook alone. I feel Apple conned me with this Mac and Big Sur, knowing of the issues and screwing us to make a lot of upcoming M chip sales. The MBP I have laying around form 2012 runs snappy. I'm disappointed. poor bastards who paid $4k for this 16 inch. I want to downgrade but I dont want to mess around with reinstalling everything. I think I'll wait for the New OS this year and if that doesnt fix this Mac, I'll either sell it or do a fresh wipe to Catalina.

It works absolutely fine. I've used it on my personal and work machine since the fall.
