i have a 2017 imac 5k that is stuck in constant boot screen with the loading bar not moving at all.
I have been made aware that the bootrom/bios needs to be rebuilt.

Knowing this i have been on a hunt for how to do this but with nothing found.

Can anyone on here help at all please?

Does it do this when you boot into safe mode?
Does it do this when you boot into INTERNET recovery:
command-OPTION-R ??

Yes sadly when doing internet recovery, it does the same thing. it will sit with the globe downloading and then when the download completes it goes straight into the same thing.

I initailly thought it was a boot drive issue so have removed the drives but that didnt do anything. Any suggestions?
