Wondered if anyone else has experienced this.

As of last night my iPad keeps prompting me for my iTunes password, even when not doing anything iTunes related. Then I lost all data connectivity (3G in UK on O2). Reset network settings seems to have fixed that but am still getting the iTunes prompt.

Only thing I did yesterday was add an additional email on game centre, but am not having this problem on iPhone 4 so am thinking it's iPad related rather than iTunes.

Any ideas??

You wouldn't happen to have an App mid-download(paused) would you? If I am downloading an App and my internet cuts off, then it will pause the download and every time i unlock the screen it will pop up asking for my iTunes password.
I had it happen and had to find the App and tap it to continue the download and it stopped asking for my password.

Check for pending downloads in iTunes on your computer. It will tell you what it is that is pending so you don't have to search through all you apps or music, or whatever, since it is most likely what is what is causing it.

Thanks. It was an app update that had paused (FarmVille of all things). Was surprisingly difficult to spot.

Sorted now, thanks again
