the system:
Powerbook G3 500mhz 6430mb ram.

cant boot from the firewire, it sends me to the open firmware.
both with linux (kubuntu) and OS (7.2, 9.2.1 and 10.3)

what to do??

im trying to reinstall the system for the past 3 days with no luck.

please help me!

I have that same Powerbook, but wow you have a lot more ram!:eek:

Anyways, have you tried booting from a disk?

if you have an external hd and access to another mac, you could try to install the system you want on the external hd and try to boot from it, then if ok you could use software to copy your system to your laptop. i had a pismo before and they're great laptops :D
