I have to do my work during the day here in Windows, so all my most critical work is on Windows side of my computer. My Windows XP froze up so I powered off my iMac to restart. But now Bootcamp doesn't appear. I just get the light gray screen with no options on what OS I want popping up.

If I don't hit the option key during reboot to bring up the OS selector, it goes into OSX and starts up just fine (what I'm typing from), however, Bootcamp won't work.

I recently installed the latest update to it.

Any ideas? This is scaring me really bad, especially since I have a lot of work to do here today.

I'm concerned if I do that then I wont be able to get into OSX though, and that this would result in it being even more difficult to get bootcamp working right. Am I right?

Alright now I'm in big trouble. I followed suggestion and set system to go directly to windows. However, it still won't go into Windows -- I just get an empty gray screen where Bootcamp used to show two OS options. Now it just sits at the gray screen and holding down the option key does nothing!

My computer is an Intel Core2 iMac. My OS is 10.4.10.
