Hello !

I wrote a lot of entries in Forums, bit nobidy answers.

Here again:

I have an apple iPhone with Firmware 1.02 which was software unlocked
with the manual from iphone.unlock.no.

Can anyone tell me a way to virginize it so that I can start up fresh ???

PLEASE HELP !!!!

Thank you in advance - Marcus

I have read of a way to get the phone back to 100% original 1.0.2.

You do the BBupdater thing, only you REVERSE the two file names on the source files. This TOTALLY F*s up your phone. This then causes iTunes to do a FULL baseband reinstall, and is the ONLY way to get baseband back to 100% original.

My understanding is that all the other baseband reflashes cannot flash a certain segment of the baseband, including the part that counts your unlock attempts.

I cannot vouch for the voracity of these claims, or that this method works- just that I have seen it mentioned.

Do you know where you saw this? I'm curious because I've also read that iphonesimfree completely restores the baseband, but perhaps it doesn't after all? Aaah, this is the problem with being ignorant - I'm just following instructions without know what is going on underneath the surface.

The above worked for me though and I was hoping that my phone had been totally restored before I used IPSF to unlock again.

I had wanted to post a link when I made the original post, but I had found it at work, and I was at home. I am now at work, and I went through my history, and did not yet find it. I will keep looking, I remember how I got there. Damn- I could have sworn I bookmarked it!

In the meantime, here is something good:

Has anyone tried this process?

http://modmyiphone.com/wiki/index.php/Downgrade_Baseband_1.1.1_to_1.0.2_OSX

I have done this twice from the downgrade of 1.1.1 to step 17 with the AnySim unlock with no luck. I get bars for a signal for a split second and then they go away which means it cant find a signal for activation. Then when I continue to step 18 I get the Incorrect SIM message again. I have followed the steps to a "T" and get no errors but still no phone. Anyone out there have a answer?
