Hi,

I have just set up Windows 7 on my Macbook Pro, but now it is defaulting to Windows 7 and I can't get my OS X back. I have held down the Apple/Option key but to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am sweating here!

Look for Boot Camp in Control Panel and see if you can select OS X from there.

Do you have an Apple remote by any chance? You can also hold down "Menu" on the remote to enter the boot selector.

Finally check the size of your Windows partition. Is it larger than you think it was supposed to be? If so you may have wiped out OS X during your install. :(

Wow! I actually love you! That has worked after a frantic search for the remote. Now I just need to change the start up disc in Preferences.

Give yourself a pat on the back from me you legend!

Whew! Glad it wasn't the bad thing.

I only know that because "Option" hasn't worked on my iMac since I bought the Aluminum keyboard.

Apparently a known incompatibility that Apple chooses not to fix, just as they choose not to support W7 on said iMac. Grrr...

Just thought I'd mention....

When you first turn on your MacBook and hear the bong hold down the alt key it will give you a choice of what drive to boot into, you can use your arrow keys to select either windows or osx
