I downgraded my friends iphone 4 for him from 6 to 5.1.1 with no shsh. i know its possible. i recently got my own iphone 4 and cant do it. i rememmber using this youtube video to do it, but cant remember the name of the video. i really want to downgrade to 5.1.1 for untether. someone please help!

No you didnt downgrade with no shsh blobs and no its not possible.
Search whatever youtube videos you want.
Without shsh blobs for that particular device for the requested firmware version you will never be able to downgrade.

Unless 5.1.1 was still being signed and you downgraded from a 6.0 beta.
That is the only scenario where a no shah downgrade could have been successful.
My only other guess is he downgraded when Apple was still signing 5.1.1. However no matter how you slice it you are out of luck now.
umm yes i did with no shsh.... i would know if i did.... you wouldnt... it can be done. i kept jailbreaking ios 6 or something then it gave me the vulnerability to downgrade. i just forget what i did. it was like 3 weeks ago when they still were not signing. it CAN be done. you are wrong.
